Stampin' Up! Screen card tutorial

Happy Mother's day to all you moms out there! I am having a lovely mother's day with my mom and my wonderful husband and sons. I have been relaxing and making cards as you can see. I have CASE'D this card. I just love the look of it and you can get so creative with it. So I hope you give this card a try and let me know what you think. Let's get started.....

Stampin' Up! Screen card tutorial..

  1. I cut Island Indigo cardstock to 5-1/2"x11"
 2. Score on the long side at 2-3/4",5-1/2"& 8-1/4", fold mountain, valley, mountain folds.
3. Use the scallop edge border punch to one of the long edges
4. Using the Decorative Label punch I punched out a small section of the bottom of the card to make the stand.

5. I choose to stamp the card with the Hardwood stamp in Island Indigo ink.
6. I set the stand aside to work on the panels. You will need to cut 4 basic black pieces of cardstock measuring 2-1/2"x4-1/4" and 4 whisper white pieces of cardstock measuring 2-3/8"x4-1/4".
7. I stamped the whisper white pieces using The Open Sea stamp set. I used black Staz On ink and Island Indigo. I then used snail adhesive to adhere these pieces to the basic black.

8. You can add any sentiment you want. I found this to be a great guy card. You can add string or ribbon.
Here are some photos of other cards I have made using this as my base. This is my Mother's day card to my mom.
I used the new Honey color for the base and Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.
