Flower inspired...Stampin Up Tutorial #12

I am so sorry for my absence on my blog, I have been busy but that's no excuse... So I will try to be better. Let's start off with a flower pot card. I have been cleaning up flower beds at home and so this inspired me to make some beautiful flowers to brighten someones day.

So to start things off you will want to use Early Espresso Card Stock 3-1/2" x 9". Score in landscape position at 2" and 5-1/2".  Fold the 2" section toward you and the 5-1/2" section away from you. To make the front look like a pot, place it in your paper trimmer with the front 2" flap flipped up. Line up the 2" score line with the cutting track and the 5-1/2" fold line with the 1/2" mark on the trimmer as shown: Flip down the cutting guide and cut. Flip the cardstock over and repeat.

 Trim the edge of the 2" section with the edgelits adorning accents and the bigshot to create a scalloped edge.

 This is what the finished product looks like

 For the Pull Out Card I cut Early Espresso cardstock 2-1/2" x 4-1/2". I cut Whisper White cardstock 2-1/4" x 4-1/4". Glue these together using snail adhesive.

 Cut a 3" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the front of the pot. Adhere to the front, flip over and trim both sides.

 I used Vanilla ribbon measuring 14". Place adhesive in center of ribbon and then attach to center upper back of flower pot and tie around.

 Using the secret garden framelits, bigshot and secret garden stamp set with Raspberry ripple, Elegant eggplant and Daffidol delight cardstock.  I made a lot of flowers for lots of flower pot cards.

 I first placed the leaves and flowers on the pull out card to get the look I was going for. Then I adhered the leaves using snail adhesive.

 And voila, you have a beautiful flower pot card!! It is over flowing with flowers and you pull it out for the sentiment.

 I have not stamped anything yet but you get the idea.
