A simple Thank you will do!

Thank you!

It's amazing what a simple thank you note will do for people. Especially when it's in a card, not a text or email!  I love receiving mail especially letters or cards and I'm sure most people feel the same way. I have always been a big advocate for sending thank you cards for gifts you receive or something someone may have done for me, so I can never have enough thank you cards on hand.
This card is made of Brushed Gold and Basic black. I used the Deco Labels Collection framelits, starting with the largest. I used all but the smallest one, alternating the colors.

I embossed " Thank you" in Gold on the front of the Deco label. I used dimensionals to pop each one up for dimension. I did not stamp anything on the inside as I figured the front said it all. Lots of room to right.

I hope you enjoyed today's simple card and it inspires you to create some cards. Thank you for stopping by and until next time keep Stampin With Katherine. All cards are available for sale on Etsy under stampinwithkatherine

Easter and Spring time

Easter, time to celebrate

Easter and spring time! I am ready for spring and for the trees to start blooming and flowers to sprout. I am ready for some color. With Easter quickly approaching I made some Easter cards and some Spring time cards. I just love this Easter Blossoms stamp set. It was retired about 5 years ago but I just love it! The apple blossom makes me smile.
I choose natural cardstock as my base. Sadly this is retired. My other colors are So Saffron, Pink Pirouette & Lucky Limeade, also retired. A few punches are retired too but I love the way the cards came together.

Since not everyone celebrates Easter I made some spring time cards too! I hope to work on some more Easter cards that are more focused on Jesus, so stay tuned!

St. Patrick's Day - March 17th

St. Patrick's day is just around the corner

I thought I would get a head start on my St. Patrick's day cards since it is right around the corner. I try to send cards every holiday because I LOVE to make cards and make people smile. I CASED this card from Sandy Hancock, it was a post from 2012.
I used Gumball green which is retired but a wonderful color. I used the 3rd smallest heart framelit and cut out 9 hearts and embossed them using the small dots embossing folder which is also retired. For the stem I cut out a large oval framelit and then I moved the framelit in about a 1/4" or so and cut off a curved edge for the stem. To finish is off I used a large pearl. The background is embossed with strips embossing folder. Stampin' Up! doesn't come out with a St. Patrick's day stamps very often. Since I have been a demonstrator, which is 4 years, I don't believe I have seen one. So the next time one rolls out, I plan on picking it up.

I love to hear your comments, so please take a moment to let me know what you think. Thank you for stopping by and until next time keep Stampin With Katherine. Cards are for sale on Etsy - stampin with katherine.

Happy Birthday Sloan

Happy Birthday Sloan!!!

There is a sweet little girl in my town that I read about yesterday who has a birthday coming up. She has a tumor on her face and all she wants for her birthday is birthday cards. How could I resist making this precious little girls day. So I created a birthday card for her with a surprise inside. Please take time to read her story and if you have time please send her a birthday card at Sloan McGillis, C/O General Delivery, Missoula MT 59806. Her birthday is February 25th.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will your comments and send this little girl a birthday card! #imbringingbirthdaysback  Until next time keep Stampin' With Katherine.

Number of years fun continues

Number of years fun continues!

I love the Number of years stamp set and Large Numbers framelits. I posted a few weeks ago using the same set and basically the same look but on the inside there is a surprise! Pop-up framelits are so much fun to play with. Check it out!

You could use the Party pop up on the front of your card too if you cut the ends. I have lots of birthday's coming up so stay tuned for more party Pop-up. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time keep stampin with Katherine.
