Post it notes
We are going for the aurora borealis look. Let's get started........
Start with a a piece of Whisper White card stock and mask it off with a sticky note to create a mountain effect.

The first color we are going to start with is Daffodil Delight and a sponge wedge. The best way to describe how to create the look is to rub not dab. Be random....
The next color is Old Olive, follow the same pattern as you did with the Daffodil delight. Then use the Lucky Limeade to high light the areas you just touched on to brighten it up.
Then you want to use Tempting Turquoise in the same pattern as before but cover more of the white up.
Our next color is Rich Razzleberry. You want to fill in almost all of the white area remaining.
Next you want to use Night of Navy, you want to cover up all of the remaining white areas and gently cover up the other colors leaving areas exposed.
Follow the same pattern with basic black but don't cover up all of the night of navy.
I then removed the sticky note and stamped with lovely as a tree stamp on the remaining white area.
I then sponged basic black on the remaining Whisper White card stock. I used a the uni-ball Signo gel pen to create the stars.

Then I used Snail adhesive to adhere the Whisper White card stock to the Summer starfruit and that to the Midnight muse.

I hope you give this technique a try. I got this technique from a fellow stampin up Demonstrator, Melissa Banbury and you can check out her blog at http://porchswingcreations.blogspot.ca She is amazing.
Until next time happy stamping. Get all your supplies at http://katherinelepiane.stampinup.net
