Saturday card class and Lovely as a tree tutorial

Saturday Card Class

It has been cloudy and raining off and on all day. We really need the rain so I don't mind the gloomy day. It gives me an excuse to make cards and not do yard work. Today I had my monthly card class and enjoyed some wonderful ladies and we made beautiful cards. In case you missed my preview blog last week, here are the cards. If you are interested in attending my October class please contact me for details or check out my website.

LOVELY AS A TREE TUTORIAL

I like to show different ways you can use one stamp set and get many different cards. You will see in my card class today we used the Lovely as a tree stamp set. I love this stamp set and thought I would show another way to use it. Let's get started.

1. I started with a base of Soft Suede and cut that to 5 1/2"x8 1/2".  I ran that through the big shot using the Tulips border folder.
2. I cut a 4 1/4" x 3" piece of Very vanilla and used a 1 1/4" circle punch to cut out a sticky note as my moon.
3. I used Soft Suede and a sponge to sponge the edges and around the moon.

4. I used the Lovely as a tree stamp set to stamp the tree in Soft Suede, staggered around the moon.
5. I then used Black StazOn with the same tree and stamped lower on the Soft Suede trees
6. I stamped my sentiment and then I glued this piece on to Basic black card stock measuring 4 1/2" x  3 1/4". I layered that on Sahara Sand card stock measuring 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".

Great masculine card. I CASE'd this card from one I saw on pintrest. Quick easy card!

I was making more cards today and here are a few more I came up with.

Here are the items I used to make the tutorial above. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need to place an order. You can also visit my website.
