Circle collection tutorial
Check out the array of colors in these cards! Aren't they beautiful! I had so much fun making these cards in a variety of ways that I just have to show you how to do it. Let's get started...1. I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock cut at 4 1/4x11. After you fold it in half you want to start at the bottom opening of your card. Find the center of the card and mark it as so.
2. Pick 4 different shades of a color, I choose yellows. Using the 1 1/4" circle punch cut about 10 from each color and run each color through the big shot with a different embossing folder.
3. When your ready to get started, start with the darkest shade first and you are going to lay the circle down flush with the bottom and the mark is in the center of the circle. You are going to continue to lay a circle on either side of the center one as such. The end circles are going to hang off the edges and you will need to cut them off.
4. Choose your next shade of Yellow and overlap it above the layer you just put down. You are going to need to cover up about half of the current circle and work your way out to the edges.
5. You will continue to follow this pattern up the card. Leaving a space at the top.
6. At the top of the card you can embellish it any way you would like with ribbon or buttons. I choose flowers. I popped them up with dimensionals.
I made these cards in shades of browns, yellows, purples and blues.
I also wanted to show you the fun I had making some Christmas cards using the Mosaic punch instead of circles. I added a ribbon on one and wreaths and snow flakes on the others. I had so much fun making these cards.
How about now to Wow!
I added a few rhinestones to really make this card pop! I would love to hear what you think of these cards. I hope you will also give this card a try. Stay tuned for more of these wonderful cards. Feel free to visit my website for all of these supplies or email me your order. Until next time keep stampin with Katherine.
